For a long time I was one of those people who would come home from work and immediately turn on the TV. I decided to try an experiment and instead of watching so much TV I stated doing a mix of these 10 things to be happier and more productive after work!

10 ThingsTo DO After Work TO Be Happier :

  1. Read

    • Find a genre that really captures your attention and makes reading fun for you.

  2. Listen to a podcast

    • After you click play, all you have to do is sit back and listen!

  3. Call a friend

    • Catch up with a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, you never know what the conversation can lead to!

  4. Meet up in person

    • Rather than going straight home after work, meet up with a friend and get dinner or drinks.

  5. Write

    • It can feel surprisingly refreshing to write, start a blog or just a journal.

  6. Cook

    • Meal-prep or bake your favorite treats. Finding a recipe and bringing it to creation is always a great feeling.

  7. Meditate

    • Set aside 10-30 Minutes right when you get home or right before bed to clear your mind.

  8. Exercise

    • If you aren’t a morning person you can substitute the TV for a treadmill or a yoga class.

  9. Do an art project

    • Do you have a hobby? Try your hand at painting or knitting.

  10. Play with your pets

    • If you have one- take your dog to the dog park, they won’t complain about the extra attention!
