10 Time Management Skills To Master

  1. Stay On Track – Schedule your day before it unfolds.

  2. Remember The Basics – Use planners and calendaring to help you prioritize your work day. Schedule your activities in shorter increments to really use your time effectively. (e.g. 15 minutes not 30 minutes)

  3. Complete Harder Tasks First – It’s best to get them done and out of the way.

  4. Minimize Distractions – Try scheduling specific times to check your emails and turn off email notifications during core focus hours.

  5. Manage Your Inbox – Create a labeling and filing system that works best for you.

  6. Prioritize Your Free Time – Dedicate time to the activities that are important to you.

  7. Cut Yourself Off – Setting time constraint will keep you on top of all of your tasks for the day and focused.

  8. Wake Up Early – The early bird really does get the worm.

  9. Plan For Downtime – Knowing you have some down time scheduled will help you push through and get your tasks done.
