For a long time I was one of those people who would come home from work and immediately turn on the TV. I decided to try an experiment and instead of watching so much TV I stated doing a mix of these 10 things to be happier and more productive after work!

Find a genre that really captures your attention and makes reading fun for you.
Listen to a podcast
After you click play, all you have to do is sit back and listen!
Call a friend
Catch up with a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, you never know what the conversation can lead to!
Meet up in person
Rather than going straight home after work, meet up with a friend and get dinner or drinks.
It can feel surprisingly refreshing to write, start a blog or just a journal.
Meal-prep or bake your favorite treats. Finding a recipe and bringing it to creation is always a great feeling.
Set aside 10-30 Minutes right when you get home or right before bed to clear your mind.
If you aren’t a morning person you can substitute the TV for a treadmill or a yoga class.
Do an art project
Do you have a hobby? Try your hand at painting or knitting.
Play with your pets
If you have one- take your dog to the dog park, they won’t complain about the extra attention!
