Description

Drive innovation and safeguard IT excellence as an ICT Engineer in Basel’s leading pharmaceutical hub.

R&D Partners is seeking an ICT Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical company in Basel. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting IT infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations within a GMP pharmaceutical setting.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer Azure Active Directory for user identity and access management.
  • Efficiently stage new laptops using Intune with necessary configurations.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd-level user support, resolving technical issues.
  • Monitor and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Acronis, Mount10).
  • Oversee IT asset management, tracking inventory and optimizing resources.
  • Manage and develop the ticketing system for streamlined support.
  • Handle Unifi Network Administration for network stability and performance.
  • Administer Windows Server services (DHCP, DNS, IIS, SQL) for business operations.
  • Utilize MS Dynamics for relevant business processes.
  • Maintain Intune for secure mobile device management.
  • Provide expertise in O365 applications and support.
  • Perform network patch management to ensure security.
  • Manage IT aspects of employee onboarding/offboarding.
  • Support IT projects with hands-on contributions.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards and practices.

 

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a GMP pharmaceutical environment with QA/QC knowledge.
  • Self-managing mindset with strong prioritization skills.
  • Transparent reporting and clear communication abilities.
  • Relevant ICT education and at least 5 years of IT support experience.
  • Proficiency in on-site support and troubleshooting lab devices.
  • Service-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in writing SOPs for IT systems.
  • Commitment to IT security and willingness to work outside standard hours when needed.
  • Technical expertise in flashing firmware of laptops.
