Are you ready to turn precision into progress and play a key role in shaping the future of pharmaceutical innovation?

R&D Partners is seeking a Mechanical Engineer on a 12 month contract to support commissioning, qualification, and verification (CQV) activities for utility systems at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role focuses on the installation and integration of heat pump and boiler equipment packages. You will work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure utility systems meet operational and compliance standards.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support activities to test and qualify heat pump and boiler systems.
  • Review designs and oversee equipment installation and testing.
  • Inspect mechanical systems like piping, pumps, and valves to ensure proper setup.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate new systems with existing utilities (e.g., steam, hot water).
  • Create and review documentation to meet compliance and safety standards.
  • Participate in project meetings and resolve action items.

Key Skills and Requirements:  

  • Background in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with utility systems in pharmaceutical or biotech facilities.
  • Knowledge of testing and qualifying systems like boilers, heat pumps, and HVAC.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines (e.g., GMP, ASME).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
