Turn insights into impact—join us as a Business Development Manager in patient-focused research.

R&D Partners is seeking a Business Development Manager specializing in Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR). This role focuses on driving business growth, consultative selling, and client engagement within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background and proven expertise in business development, with a passion for advancing patient-centered healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Business Growth: Identify and secure new opportunities with pharma and biotech clients in HEOR, RWE, Market Access, and Medical Affairs. Manage the full business development cycle from lead generation to contract execution.
  • Consultative Selling & Scientific Expertise: Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex PCOR concepts into compelling proposals and guiding clients on study design and best practices.
  • Client Engagement & Representation: Lead client meetings, deliver presentations, and represent the organization at industry congresses and events to strengthen visibility and thought leadership.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal teams to ensure scientific rigor in proposals, contribute to strategic growth initiatives, and mentor junior business development staff in consultative sales approaches.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR): Strong understanding of methodologies such as patient-reported outcomes (PRO), observational research, and direct-to-patient approaches (e.g., ePRO, eCOA).
  • Proven Business Development Expertise: Demonstrated success in identifying, pursuing, and closing complex research projects with pharmaceutical or biotech clients, ideally in HEOR, RWE, Market Access, or Medical Affairs.
  • Scientific Consulting & Proposal Development: Ability to translate complex research concepts into compelling proposals, including drafting scientific rationales, study outlines, and budget justifications.
  • Industry Representation & Communication Skills: Experience presenting at scientific congresses or client events, with strong influencing and scientific storytelling capabilities in English (French is a plus).
