Are you ready to shape the future of healthcare within laboratory microbiology in a company where science meets purpose?

R&D Partners is seeking a Laboratory Manager specializing in Microbiology to lead and manage laboratory operations. This role involves overseeing microbiology testing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving strategic growth initiatives. You will play a key role in managing a team, improving efficiency, and supporting the expansion of laboratory capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement microbiology testing processes and infrastructure.
  • Lead the design, setup, and daily operations of the microbiology laboratory.
  • Oversee changes to methods and specifications, ensuring compliance.
  • Manage investigations, technical transfers, and contract laboratory testing.
  • Collaborate with regulatory teams and authorities to meet compliance requirements.
  • Work with various departments to ensure smooth operations and adherence to standards.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders within the quality control team.
  • Support the strategic expansion of laboratory capabilities and organizational growth.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and resource management.
  • Monitor performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree in microbiology or a related field.
  • Experience working in a microbiology laboratory environment.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams or projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and maintain accurate records.
  • Experience with internal audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
