When a longstanding Swedish client acquired one of our Swiss-based partners, they faced the exciting challenge of scaling quickly, without losing what made either company unique. With pre-existing relationships on both sides, we were perfectly positioned to support the newly merged entity through a period of accelerated recruitment and cultural alignment.
Following the merger, our client needed to expand their Swiss operations at pace. But growth alone wasn’t the goal, they wanted to do so while thoughtfully blending two distinct organisational cultures.
As both teams adjusted to a new structure, it became essential to position the company’s evolving identity in a way that would resonate with future hires. Internal bandwidth was limited during the integration, and the HR function needed support managing recruitment processes across both locations.
Our first step was connecting with the newly appointed HR Business Partner in Basel to shape a strategy built on trust, transparency, and cultural sensitivity.
Because we had worked closely with both companies pre-merger, we could confidently communicate their shared values and growth narrative to candidates. We used our candidate database, many of whom had experience with either company, to understand what cultural attributes mattered most. This insight fed directly into a refined employer value proposition that we took to market.
To support long-term engagement, we provided local salary benchmarking, market intelligence, and strategic hiring guidance. Our consultants maintained regular contact with HR stakeholders while managing all candidate communications to ease internal pressure.
With our presence on the ground in Switzerland, we also arranged in-person meetings with both candidates and hiring managers, giving prospective hires a real sense of the company’s future direction and the development opportunities available.
Since then, we’ve placed 20 qualified professionals across the organisation, supporting both permanent and interim hiring across Switzerland and Sweden.
