R&D Partners is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineering Technician to support the operation of a biotechnology company. In this role, you will assist in maintaining and improving utility services and manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth operations. This position requires flexibility and a proactive approach to managing day-to-day maintenance and performance improvements in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Help plan and carry out maintenance tasks for building utilities and manufacturing equipment.
  • Supervise contractors performing scheduled maintenance and calibration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and systems.
  • Monitor and improve equipment performance to meet operational goals.
  • Assist in managing budgets and maintaining critical spare parts inventory.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
  • Ensure all documentation and training are completed accurately and on time.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Previously worked in a cGMP pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
  • Knowledge of utility systems such as HVAC, compressed air, and oxygen systems
  • Knowledge of PPMs and calibration activities
  • Right to work within the UK
