Looking for a new challenge where you can bridge the gap between laboratory teams and IT to keep vital lab systems reliable, compliant?

R&D Partners is seeking a Support Specialist focusing on Lab Systems to provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and configuration of laboratory IT systems in a regulated environment. You will ensure these systems remain reliable, compliant, and effective for laboratory operations. This role involves close collaboration with laboratory teams, quality control, vendors, and IT infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues, manage system changes, and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for laboratory software applications such as LIMS, Empower, and other lab tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including user access and software configurations.
  • Ensure smooth integration between lab instruments, databases, and enterprise systems.
  • Manage system settings, user roles, and security controls in line with compliance policies.
  • Assist with database-related tasks like backups, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Support system validation activities, including documentation and periodic reviews.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and maintenance with minimal disruption.
  • Create and update system documentation, including SOPs and validation records.
  • Assist during audits by providing system evidence, logs, and validation documents.
  • Train lab users on workflows and provide ongoing system optimization.
  • Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and system enhancements.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Familiarity with laboratory IT systems (e.g., LIMS, Empower, FTIR, UV software).
  • Basic understanding of database management and SQL.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards like GMP, ALCOA, and data integrity principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
