Clinical Supply Chain Manager

R&D Partners is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Supply Chain Manager to ensure that clinical trial medications are delivered on time, in the right quantity, and at the right quality for patients participating in trials worldwide. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage supply chain processes, and support risk management to ensure smooth operations. This is a fast-paced and collaborative environment where your problem-solving and communication skills will be key to success.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Plan, design, and manage the supply chain for clinical studies to ensure timely delivery of trial supplies.
• Lead cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication with internal and external partners.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact supply quality or delivery.
• Oversee inventory management, including rework, recalls, shelf-life extensions, and stock destruction.
• Manage demand and supply planning using Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and handle deviations, complaints, and change controls.

Soft skills:

• Strong influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skills, across geographical and cultural boundaries
• Ability to adapt and operate in bespoke multiple systems.

Essential for the role:

• A degree in a scientific or business field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in supply chain management or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain activities, including demand planning and risk management.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in IT systems and adaptable to bespoke tools.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new processes in a dynamic environment.

Desirable for the role:

• Awareness of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GCP (Good Clinical Practice)
• Knowledge of clinical development processes relevant to the supply of clinical materials
• Lean knowledge and understanding
• Experienced in handling Quality Events (Deviations, Change Controls, Complaints)
