R&D Partners is seeking an MSAT Data Scientist to join a leading biotechnology company in Belgium. This role is part of the Process Data Science Recombinant platform within the Data Science and Digital Transformation (DSD) team, under the global Manufacturing Science Analytics and Technology (MSAT) organization. The position supports tech transfer activities, process optimization, and the launch of innovative biopharmaceutical products, including monoclonal antibodies, fusion proteins, and nanobodies.

This is a 5-month contract opportunity with a competitive hourly rate.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced statistical and data science support across MSAT functions, including Cell Culture, Purification, and Analytical.
  • Support activities such as process/method optimization, investigations, comparability studies, process monitoring, and small-scale model qualification.
  • Design experiments, collect data, and perform statistical analyses to contribute to MSAT protocols and reports.
  • Ensure traceability, accuracy, and compliance of collected data and analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective information exchange.
  • Prepare high-quality scientific and technical reports in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Data Sciences, Statistics, or related discipline with 6+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • MS in Data Sciences, Statistics, or related discipline with 4+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • PhD in Data Sciences, Statistics, or related discipline with 2+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a **cGMP environment** with knowledge of regulatory guidelines.
  • Expertise in statistical data analysis and data science techniques.
  • Domain knowledge in biologics, with direct experience in upstream or downstream development/manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a change-agent mentality to propose novel approaches.
  • Effective communication skills in English (Dutch is a bonus).
