Join a leading international pharmaceutical organisation and play a pivotal role in bringing medical innovation closer to the patients who need it most.

Join a leading international pharmaceutical organisation and help advance innovative treatments within a specialist therapeutic area. As a Global Medical Lead (m/f/d), you will be responsible for developing and implementing the global medical strategy for a key product portfolio. Working closely with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders across multiple markets, you will drive scientific excellence and support continued portfolio growth. Reporting to the Head of Global Medical Affairs, you will play an important role in shaping global medical activities and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the global medical strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide medical leadership across global cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Drive evidence generation activities, including Phase IV studies, real-world evidence programmes, and investigator-initiated research.
  • Lead scientific exchange through congresses, advisory boards, and expert engagement activities.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with external experts, academic institutions, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Oversee publication planning and scientific communication activities.
  • Deliver impactful medical education and training initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and approve medical content and materials.
  • Gather insights from stakeholders and the wider medical community to continuously refine strategies and priorities.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations, company policies, and quality standards.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • MD, PhD, or equivalent scientific qualification.
  • Proven Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience within a specialist therapeutic area, ideally involving complex or chronic conditions.
  • Strong scientific expertise with the ability to communicate complex clinical and scientific data effectively.
  • Experience in clinical research, evidence generation, medical education, and scientific publications.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and results-focused approach.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required (up to 30%).
