R&D Partners is seeking a Drug Delivery Systems Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical company in Switzerland. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge drug delivery devices for respiratory, subcutaneous, and intravenous applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in combination products and drug delivery systems, with a focus on design control, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute technical and documentation activities related to combination products and drug delivery devices.
  • Autonomously address individual problems and manage orders.
  • Develop Design Control and Risk Management documents.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor project timelines and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development, customization, specification, integration, qualification, and optimization of combination products and production processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, Technical Operations, Quality, and Operations to ensure seamless project handovers and aligned development strategies.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, guidance, and industry trends in combination products.
  • Provide data-driven insights and professional judgment to support business, technical, and project-related queries.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s or PhD in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent academic experience.
  • Strong scientific expertise in combination products and drug delivery systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards, including documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Proficiency in English.
