Are you ready for a new role in Clinical Data working for a company that accelerate clinical breakthroughs?

R&D Partners is seeking a Clinical Data Scientist to support the enhancement and maintenance of a data platform that ingests, processes, and standardizes healthcare data. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, machine learning, and real‑world evidence teams to deliver high‑quality data for research and analytics. Your clinical expertise will also contribute to mapping medical concepts and developing automated data quality processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to maintain and enhance the data platform.
  • Review incoming data quality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure it meets research needs.
  • Help manage and improve a common data model for healthcare data.
  • Map clinical concepts like lab tests and medications using recognized standards.
  • Use your medical knowledge to design and maintain automated data quality checks.
  • Assist in creating and delivering data specifications for research projects.
  • Provide expertise to support interactions with external data partners.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Medical degree alongside extra training in data science, epidemiology, or informatics.
  • Familiarity with NHS data structures and sources (e.g., cancer datasets, OMOP, SACT).
  • Experience working clinically, ideally within the NHS.
  • Background in informatics, data science projects, or epidemiological research using electronic health records (EHR).
  • Knowledge of medical ontologies (e.g., ICD-10, OPCS-4, SNOMED).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL, Python, or R.
  • Experience in data modeling or standardization using SQL.
  • Training in healthcare systems like Cerner or Epic.
