Description

Lead the global medical vision shaping the future of cardiometabolic care.

R&D Partners is seeking a highly experienced Global Medical Affairs Director to join a leading pharmaceutical company. This role is pivotal in developing and executing the global medical strategy for assigned products, with a focus on lipidology and cardiometabolic therapeutic areas. The position requires collaboration across global medical teams and cross-functional workstreams while maintaining the highest scientific and ethical standards.

This role is based anywhere in Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the global medical strategy and tactical plan.
  • Manage engagement with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the therapeutic area.
  • Provide input to clinical studies, including RWE and Phase IV trials.
  • Collaborate with the scientific communication director to develop communication strategies.
  • Create and deliver external and internal training materials.
  • Offer scientific input for publications and promotional material development.
  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Required:

  • Medical degree or PhD.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant global medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including proven global launch experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cardiometabolic-lipidology.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic and tactical medical plans.
  • Proven experience engaging with key external stakeholders.

Desired:

  • Specialty in cardiology, lipidology, or endocrinology.

Skills & Languages:

Required:

  • Strong ability to evaluate and analyze medical-scientific literature.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for representing the company at international conferences and scientific symposia.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and self-motivation to drive best practices and processes.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English.
