R&D Partners is seeking a skilled and motivated Lab-Based Cell Biologist to join our client as a Senior Scientist. In this role, you will focus on conducting laboratory-based research to explore biological mechanisms and develop advanced cell models. You will play a key role in advancing therapeutic programs through collaboration and innovative experimentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory experiments to study biological processes and mechanisms.
  • Develop and work with complex cell models using skeletal-related cells like osteoblasts and chondrocytes.
  • Investigate molecular pathways and mechanisms using lab and computational techniques.
  • Collaborate with team members to support therapeutic research projects.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of experiments in electronic lab notebooks.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong background in cell biology or immunology, with knowledge of skeletal biology or immunology being a plus.
  • Proficient in working with human cells, including isolating and culturing primary cells.
  • Skilled in performing complex cell-based assays, including those using 96-384 well plates.
  • Hands-on experience with flow cytometry.
  • Familiarity with computational biology methods for analyzing biological data, such as RNA sequencing or proteomics.
  • Ability to design and carry out experiments independently to study biological targets or molecules.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Additional knowledge in techniques like qPCR, RNA-Seq, ELISA, Western blotting, and high-content imaging is desirable.
