Description

Keep production moving-maintain, repair, and optimize critical equipment in a high‑performance environment.

R&D Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced production environment. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to ensure smooth operations. You will work closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime, address equipment issues, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. This role operates on a 4-week shift cycle including both days and nights.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on production equipment to keep it running efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines during all activities.
  • Use safety systems like permits to work to manage maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance with relevant departments as per schedule.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Support the installation and qualification of new equipment.
  • Identify and implement improvements to equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
  • Manage spare parts and ensure proper storage, usage, and reordering.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately following standard procedures.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Qualification in mechanical, electrical, or engineering fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment within life sciences e.g pharma, biotech or medical device.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HPRA, FDA regulatory requirements and current Health and Safety Regulations legislation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for documentation and reporting.
