R&D Partners is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Biosensor Manufacturing Technician to support the development and production of an innovative biosensor platform. This role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting advanced optical and microelectronic systems, working in cleanroom environments, and contributing to the refinement of manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, repeatable, and compliant production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot small-scale electronic and optical components.
  • Help improve and transfer new manufacturing processes from prototypes to production.
  • Use microscopes and precision tools for detailed assembly work.
  • Operate and maintain cleanroom equipment.
  • Perform electrical and optical testing and document results accurately.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues and suggest improvements.
  • Inspect incoming materials and manage inventory.
  • Follow and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards like GMP and ISO 13485.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in assembling and testing complex electronic or optical systems.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments and precision tools.
  • Knowledge of microelectronics or semiconductor fabrication processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of photonics, sensors, or semiconductor packaging.
  • Understanding of GMP quality systems and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Experience with early-stage manufacturing scale-up or process development.
