Step into a field-based MSL role where your expertise drives real-world patient outcomes.

R&D Partners is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support the safe and effective use of therapies within a leading pharmaceutical company. This field-based role focuses on engaging healthcare professionals (HCPs), delivering medical education, and gathering clinical insights across Southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Reporting to the Europe MSL Director, the MSL will autonomously manage and develop medical activities to achieve key objectives in alignment with corporate strategy.

Responsibilities:

Medical Support:

  • Provide therapy training to ensure the safe and effective use of therapies.
  • Proactively engage HCPs with on-label product and procedural training.
  • Deliver medical education and internal training courses as a subject matter expert.
  • Support commercial and R&D teams with technical, medical, and scientific information.
  • Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external experts.
  • Communicate clinical evidence, identify gaps, and provide unbiased insights to HCPs.
  • Develop and execute territory plans to engage KOLs and gather meaningful clinical insights.
  • Provide medical and scientific support at congresses and medical meetings.

Research Support:

  • Assist clinical trial site identification, initiation, and protocol education.
  • Support principal investigators to improve patient recruitment and data quality.
  • Discover and champion innovative investigator-initiated research ideas.
  • Provide quarterly updates to senior leadership on study progress and insights.

Strategic Engagement:

  • Define and execute local medical plans aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Interact with medical societies and address their queries regarding therapies.
  • Coordinate advisory boards and educational activities with KOLs.
  • Support presentations to hospital formularies and reimbursement decision-makers.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong scientific and clinical research knowledge.
  • Ability to extract insights from clinical data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Demonstrated expertise in therapeutic areas, preferably with a publication record.
  • Clinical acumen, ideally with patient or healthcare experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based customer/clinical tools.
  • Fluent in German and English.

Soft Skills:

  • Outstanding interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Excellent presentation and teaching abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning.
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and solve problems creatively.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and assertive personality.

Education and Experience:

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or Nursing (Master’s or above preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry, ideally as an MSL.
  • Strong knowledge of German medical organizations, hospitals, and scientific societies, with a preference for Hematology-Oncology stakeholders.

Contract and Location:

  • Field-based position covering Southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Ideally, candidates should reside near a major city or international airport in Southern Germany.
