Ready to shape the future of patient care across the Nordics by connecting cutting-edge science with clinical practice?

R&D Partners is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join a leading biotechnology company. This field-based role will cover the Nordics region (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland) and is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in medical affairs, particularly within hematology-oncology or nephrology. Reporting to the Europe MSL Director, the MSL will autonomously manage and develop medical activities while supporting the safe and effective use of the company’s therapies.

Responsibilities:

Therapy Training & Education:

  • Provide on-label product and procedural training to healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Act as a subject matter expert, delivering internal and external medical education.
  • Support commercial and R&D teams with technical, medical, and scientific information.

Medical Support:

  • Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external experts.
  • Communicate clinical evidence and address evidence gaps in a non-biased manner.
  • Develop and execute territory plans to identify and engage KOLs.
  • Gather and share field medical intelligence to inform clinical and R&D strategies.
  • Provide medical and scientific support at congresses and advisory boards.

Research Support:

  • Assist with clinical trial site identification, initiation, and ongoing support.
  • Recommend research sites and provide insights to improve patient recruitment and data quality.
  • Champion investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and innovative research ideas.
  • Provide quarterly updates to senior leadership on study progress and insights.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong scientific and clinical research knowledge.
  • Ability to extract insights from clinical data and communicate them effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based clinical support tools.
  • Fluent in English and either Swedish or Danish.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Strong presentation and teaching acumen.
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and solve problems creatively.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and responsive work style.

Education and Experience:

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or Nursing (Master’s or above preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, preferably as an MSL.
  • Strong knowledge of the Nordics medical landscape, including hospitals and scientific societies.
  • Experience in hematology-oncology or nephrology is highly preferred.

Contract and Location:

  • Field-based position covering Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
  • Ideally located near a major city with an international airport (e.g., Stockholm, Copenhagen, or Oslo).
