Keep the heartbeat of innovation running with this Prototype Test Engineer position and ensure cutting-edge operations never miss a beat!

R&D Partners is seeking an R&D Prototype Test Engineer to support the development of new products and improve existing ones. In this hands-on role, you will assemble, repair, modify, and test prototypes and equipment while ensuring functionality and performance. This position is ideal for someone with a technical mindset who enjoys working in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, adjust, repair, and upgrade mechanical and electromechanical components.
  • Follow technical drawings, instructions, and specifications to build prototypes.
  • Use testing tools to measure parameters like temperature, pressure, and electrical outputs.
  • Record and analyze test results clearly in notebooks or digital systems.
  • Operate data logging tools (training provided).
  • Maintain and organize the workshop, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Recommend improvements to product designs and testing methods.
  • Support production readiness for new product launches.
  • Perform welding tasks and operate workshop tools like lathes and drill presses.
  • Use internal systems for documentation and tracking (training provided).

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in assembly, welding, or similar technical tasks.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical principles; basic plumbing knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg and performing tasks requiring precision.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and organized with good time management skills.
