Scientist I

R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Scientist I in San Diego, CA.

Your main responsibilities as a Scientist I:

· Work at the direction of Analytical scientists to quantitate lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) encapsulating nucleic acids

· Analyze raw materials for LNP formulations

· Establish relationships between physiochemical characteristics of experimental nanoparticle formulations and their efficacy and safety

· Maintain detailed records of analytical data

· Interface directly with other functional teams

What we are looking for in a Scientist I:

· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years’ experience or Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline. (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.)

· Proficiency at formulating buffers is required.

· Practical experience using analytical methods such as RiboGreen, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), and Zeta potential measurement is strongly preferred.

· Prior experience with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is preferred.

· Experience and proficiency with other analytical techniques will be considered.

Pay Scale:

$58,552 – $9 Dependent on Experience)
