Senior Scientist, Oligonucleotide Design and Chemistry

R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Senior Scientist, Oligonucleotide Design and Chemistry in South San Francisco, CA.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Scientist, Oligonucleotide Design and Chemistry:

· Lead the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel oligonucleotides for various portfolio programs.

· Provide mentorship to junior scientists in the synthesis and characterization of new oligonucleotide sequences.

· Serve as a leader or active participant in cross-disciplinary discussions to ensure effective execution of portfolio programs.

· Collaborate with biology and biochemistry teams to design and execute novel assays, facilitating rapid go/no-go decisions.

· Take a leading role in managing all aspects of laboratory instrumentation and maintaining smooth operations.

What we are looking for in a Senior Scientist, Oligonucleotide Design and Chemistry:

· Must have attained a Masters Degree or higher.

· Required majors: Chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or related fields.

· Extensive hands-on experience in the synthesis, purification, and analytics of siRNA and/or ASO therapeutics.

· In-depth knowledge of oligonucleotide/peptide therapeutics, including chemical structure search tools, synthesis techniques, purification instrumentation, and analysis methods for chemically modified oligonucleotides.

· Demonstrated ability to both lead and support multiple parallel projects and thrive in highly collaborative team environments.

Pay Scale:

$130,832 – $174,330 Dependent on Experience)
