Description

Ensure seamless, compliant US imports for complex biological and pharmaceutical products.

R&D Partners is seeking a Trade Compliance Consultant Specialist with expertise in US import processes for biological and pharmaceutical products. This role focuses on building and operationalizing a Trade Compliance Master Database while ensuring compliance with FDA, CBP, USDA, and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Primary Priority:

  • Develop a practical, day-to-day Trade Compliance Master Database as an operational tool.
  • Train relevant team members on the implementation and use of the database.
  • Verify and determine Partner Government Agency (PGA) trade data for imported products, including commercial drugs, samples, intermediates, clinical materials, and R&D compounds.
  • Identify and document registration status (registered/unregistered) for all imported products.
  • Create a comprehensive trade database containing all CBP, FDA, USDA (APHIS), and other PGA data to serve as a single source of truth for import declarations.

Secondary Priority:

  • Conduct an evaluation of the current state, including risk analysis of the US supply chain.
  • Perform role mapping and regulatory tariff impact analysis.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of in-depth knowledge of import processes for biological and pharmaceutical products into the US, with proven ability to operationalize these processes.
  • Extensive experience working with **FDA requirements** across various product types and stages.
  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying and establishing operational processes aligned with FDA, CBP, and other regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience using data analytics to identify risks and optimize procedures.
