Relocating from Barcelona to Basel 

The situation 

We successfully connected with a highly skilled Clinical Trial Manager based in Barcelona, who was working at a small Contract Research Organisation (CRO). Living in Barcelona with his family, he brought valuable experience in clinical trial management and CRO operations. Our team was introduced to him through a professional referral from one of his colleagues. Recognising his in-demand expertise in clinical research, we reached out to explore his career aspirations and discuss potential opportunities aligned with his skillset. 

The solution 

Open to international opportunities, our Spanish Clinical Trial Manager considered relocating from Barcelona to Switzerland. After discussing the move with his family, they agreed he would begin with a six-month clinical contract in Switzerland, with the potential for a full relocation if successful.

• Following six months of weekly commuting between Barcelona and Basel, the candidate was offered a permanent position with the global healthcare organisation. He accepted the offer, marking a significant milestone in his international career progression.  
• Since relocating, he and his family have successfully settled in Basel, where they have now been living for over two years, enjoying both professional growth and a high quality of life in Switzerland.
