Ready to play a vital role in delivering high‑quality products in a fast‑paced, regulated packaging environment?

R&D Partners is seeking a Packaging Operator for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role involves working in a shift-based environment to support packaging operations in a regulated industry. You will play a key role in ensuring products are packaged to meet quality and safety standards while adhering to company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety and environmental guidelines at work.
  • Report any issues with safety, quality, equipment, or materials to your supervisor.
  • Operate and monitor packaging equipment to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Prepare packaging lines by performing setup, line clearance, and changeovers.
  • Check that all packaging materials (labels, cartons, inserts, etc.) are correct and available.
  • Inspect packaged products to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation in real time.
  • Maintain production records, including downtime, output, and any deviations.
  • Support new product launches and packaging trials as needed.
  • Collaborate with teams like Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse to resolve issues.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized, following a “clean as you go” approach.
  • Participate in routine cleaning and maintenance of packaging equipment.
  • Help the team meet daily and weekly packaging goals.
  • Use problem-solving skills to address packaging-related challenges.
  • Take part in improvement initiatives such as Lean and 5S activities.
  • Complete all required training and stay compliant with training requirements.
  • Assist in investigations and corrective actions for deviations or non-conformances.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience in manufacturing or packaging, preferably in a regulated industry like pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) is a plus.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work alternating shifts as required.
