Can you bridge scientific expertise and client collaboration to deliver seamless upstream process transfers at scale?

R&D Partners is seeking a Senior/Lead Scientist specializing in Cell Culture (USP/MSAT) to join a leading biotechnology company in Songdo, South Korea. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide senior-level oversight of upstream tech transfer programs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and ensure seamless process introductions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead upstream tech transfer programs, applying at least 3 years of experience in cell culture development and validation.
  • Engage directly with clients to guide scale-up, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and ensure smooth process implementation.
  • Develop and maintain GMP-compliant documentation across USP operations, including SOPs, MBRs, QRA, and validation records.
  • Apply a strong understanding of cGMP principles to conduct risk assessments, support audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to enhance upstream workflows and strengthen tech transfer efficiency.
  • Represent MSAT during client site engagements, leveraging expertise in biotechnology or chemical engineering to enhance process robustness.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cell culture development and validation.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP principles and experience with GMP-compliant documentation.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and lead tech transfer programs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for client and cross-functional team interactions.
