Clinical Supply Chain Project Manager

R&D Partners is seeking a Clinical Supply Chain Project Manager to lead and oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of ophthalmology clinical development programs. This role requires a proactive and strategic leader who can manage complex clinical and CMC workstreams while ensuring alignment across all stages of development. The position is based onsite in the UK, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in the biotechnology sector.

Responsibilities:

• Programme Leadership: Lead the delivery of ophthalmology development programs, ensuring milestones are achieved within scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including pre-clinical, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and supply chain functions, to ensure seamless program execution.
• Planning & Risk Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, incorporating risk identification, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning.
• Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), international regulatory requirements, and internal quality management systems.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, data-driven updates to senior leadership on program status, risks, and key decision points.
• External Partner Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external collaborators, funding organizations, CROs, CMOs, and other partners, ensuring alignment on objectives and milestones.
• Governance & Reporting: Maintain governance structures, dashboards, and reporting tools to support informed decision-making by leadership teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and delivery performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent experience in program/project management within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sectors).
• Strong understanding of clinical development, clinical trial design, CMC, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience managing complex programs, including timelines, budgets, resources, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience working collaboratively across global and multidisciplinary teams.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly adopt new project management tools.
