Qualification Engineer (Material / Supply Chain)

R&D Partners is seeking a proactive and solution-oriented Qualification Engineer to join the Material Life Cycle Management team at a leading biotechnology company in Geel, Belgium. This role offers a dynamic mix of organizational, technical, and social challenges, providing opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities:

Core Business:

• Onboarding new materials and services, ensuring their maintenance.
• Compliance checks for supplier-implemented changes.

Compliance:

• Research and align local procedures with internal and external standards.
• Address gaps and implement efficient solutions to meet quality standards.

Business Continuity:

• Ensure production planning by identifying timely alternatives during supply issues.
• Migrate documents into newly developed templates.

Cost Management:

• Identify large cost items (direct and indirect) and propose cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or supply.

Operational Excellence:

• Optimize processes, data, and systems using Excel and Power BI.
• Support continuous improvement goals within the team.

Project Support:

• Assist with projects such as Transfer Out.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Strong communication skills with the confidence to ask questions and challenge ideas constructively.
• Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent affinity with digital tools and systems, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Comfortable working with data and systems.
• Outgoing and confident personality, with a willingness to engage stakeholders and drive discussions.
• Ability to work independently, manage dynamic schedules, and respond effectively to ad-hoc requests.
• Knowledge of critical aspects of materials and services, with the ability to provide clear overviews based on limited data.
• Intrinsic motivation to work on projects interfacing with R&D, MSAT, QC, MFG, SC, and OPEX.

• Shift: Day shift; onsite presence at the Geel site is required.

Salary:

• €400.00 – €430.00 /Day
