R&D Partners is seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in histology, image analysis, and a passion for advancing research in respiratory diseases. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative drug discovery projects within the Bioscience Department. You will work collaboratively with a motivated team and other departments to support research efforts and develop new techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and coordinate lab experiments focused on histological analysis.
  • Analyze tissue samples to study target expression and drug effects.
  • Present experimental plans and findings in team meetings.
  • Develop and validate new laboratory techniques.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Background in biosciences, ideally with a focus on respiratory diseases.
  • Hands-on experience with histology techniques such as immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.
  • Familiarity with automated lab equipment (e.g., Ventana Discovery Ultra, Leica Bond).
  • Proficiency in image analysis tools (e.g., VisioPharm, Halo).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data reporting.
  • Understanding of respiratory disease mechanisms and pharmacokinetics.
  • Experience with advanced histological techniques (e.g., spatial transcriptomics, tissue clearing).
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R.
  • Knowledge of deep learning methods for image analysis.
