Do you thrive in a laboratory environment where precision, quality, and compliance make a real impact every day?

R&D Partners is seeking a Quality Technician to support laboratory operations within an ISO17025 environment. This role involves processing, handling, analyzing, and storing laboratory specimens while ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The position requires a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Process, log, scan, and accurately track laboratory samples using information systems and databases.
  • Prepare, handle, and analyze biological specimens in accordance with SOPs.
  • Perform sample processing activities, including cell lysis and tissue preparation techniques.
  • Prepare reagents, consumables, and laboratory materials for daily testing activities.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks and assist with equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records to ensure traceability and compliance with ISO17025 standards.
  • Monitor sample and client data for accuracy, escalating issues as required.
  • Manage laboratory supplies, reagents, and chemicals, ensuring appropriate stock levels.
  • Coordinate customer inventory requirements and support shipments between laboratory locations.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, regulatory requirements, and good laboratory practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and deliver high-quality laboratory services.
  • Work collaboratively within a team while managing responsibilities independently.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical skills.
  • Safely handle and move sample deliveries and laboratory materials, including lifting items up to 15kg.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree in Science or relevant field.
  • Strong pipetting skills and laboratory experience.
  • Comfort working with chemicals in a lab setting.
  • Effective communication skills to convey and receive information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic computer skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
